I am a 33 year old black woman living in South Africa. I am a Quantity Surveyor by profession. I have really worked hard in building my career but it is just not getting anywhere. I have only worked for small construction companies and no matter how much effort I put in, somehow I feel like the companies I work for do not value me.
They do not hesitate to end my contract and really it gets frustrating because there is very little room for planning. I just don't know how much longer I can take this. The current job where I'm working is a bigger joke. I mean the bosses daughter can't stand me and it's only a month of working. I mean what on earth is this really. I just would like to know if I'm the only one who has been facing this bad luck.
