I am trying to work out my monthly pay..it says £18,562 pa pro rata.(£ 9.62 per hr) and I will be working 7.5 hrs a week.my pay will be split into 12 months so no breaks..can anyone help please? Or has anyone got a job as lunchtime supervisory assistant and can tell me how much they receive monthly Thanks in advance

It will probably be something like 38 weeks of 7.5 hours, plus 5 weeks paid holidays, split over 12 months eg £9.62x7.5x43 = approx £260 a month

Wouldn’t you just multiply 9.62 x 7.5 x 4 to get monthly rate? £288.60.

There aren’t 4 weeks in a month and the OP will work term times only.

It will be 7.5 x 9.62 x the number of weeks worked in a year (39?)/12.

So around £234.49 per month?

Plus you should be entitled to some holiday pay, but the amount will depend on the FTE entitlement.

Thanks for the replies.thats what I am confused about as I worked it out £288.60 but I have been told we get paid all year so still get paid through the hols which obviously would mean less than I had worked out.the £260 sounds more realistic but I haven't got a clue.ive never been paid pro rata before x thanls again
