Unsure about new job

Hi,
I recently started a new job within a big organisation, leaving behind my old career of 8 years.
I have just finished my first week today and I really haven't taken to it at all, the staff haven't been all that welcoming, it's alot slower paced then what I'm used to.
Although its more money for less hours, extra travel time in the car than my old job. And chance of progressions.
But alot of away training, using my own car for the travel, a long distance.
I have the option to go back to my other job but I left theres as I was feeling unhappy, although I miss it after a week?
But I can't see myself settling where I am now, and with the current climate we're in I know I'm lucky to have a job.
Please can anyone advise if they have been in a similar dilemma?

I’d say it takes about 3-4 months to fully get into the swing of a new job. All new jobs start off at a slower pace because you haven’t had the chance to get your role up to its full potential, before you know it you’ll be busy. If you don’t feel settled after 6 months then that’s different, move on then Smile
