how far do you or your DH/DP commute to work?

distance and how long it takes you?

Me, about 2 miles and it takes 20 minues on the tram.
DH is a driving instructor so 12 yards to car, but loads of miles a day driving round

Him 20 miles/ 20-30 minutes (parking on site)

me was 20 miles (opposite direction)/ 45-60 mins (no parking on site). Moved back to local office 10 mins depending on traffic.

about 30 miles/day.

it takes him about 25 minutes each way.

me: about 16 miles 3 days a week. takes best part of an hour - bus - train - bus

one day a week - no miles (work from home)

and one day a week is about 14-15 - takes about 45-50 mins

him: probably about 15 miles - takes about 45-50 mins - bus - train - tube.

18 miles - on a good day it will take me 40 mins on a bad day 2 hours (bloody M25)

I work from my office 3 - 4 days per week and the rest from home, although the days i do the commute are starting to get me down a bit now

DS is out and about a lot by car and/or train

This house - about 100m on foot
last house - about 150m on foot
house before - about 60m on foot
house before - about 20m on foot

Don't like to be too far away from all the action!

dh 8 miles by bike takes about 25 minutes
me sahm

me - 2 miles unless I'm working for home. Takes about 30 mins to walk and about 10 mins in the car.

DH - varies - from about 10 miles to nearer 60.

I commute 43 miles by combination of car, train, tube and walk. Takes me at best 1 hour 15 min, more likely 1 hour 30 min.

DH commutes 42 miles and drives. Can take him anything from 1 hour to 2.5 hours depending on traffic.

I work in London. Takes me 50 minutes from house to work. 1 hour from work to nursery.

DH - anything from .01miles up to about 30 miles - varies from day to day

Me 11 miles 55 mins by bike

about 4 miles. but I live in London, so this takes 45mins on the bus .

DP - 40mins tube plus walk. Me - 5mins walk. It changed my life.

DH - 63 miles. It takes him an hour to drive or 90 mins by bus/train/bus.

Me - when I go back, and when I'm not working from home - 6 miles from school to office, 15 mins by car & metro.

Me, nothing! i.e don't work or sometimes work at home

DH - 20 mins drive to station, 45 mins train, 5 mins walk to office - and then reverse to come home, obviously!

Have previously commuted up to an hour but that was pre-kids.

Me: 8 miles by bike, 4 days a week (1 way, so 16miles per day).
dh: pretty much the same, but in a different direction!

Me - 1 mile, about 15 min walk but normally 30 mins drive including nursery drop off the other direction.
Him - c.25 miles, takes 45 mins to an hour each way.
