Dealing with sarky Manager

I work in an office of 5 and recently two of the women have decided to retire. Over the ten years I’ve worked there, there’s been ups and downs with the Manager. Personally she’s not my cup of tea but I’ve always tried to keep things professional. She however...doesn’t work that way and can be very forthright and rude. There was a meeting set up for us all to meet one of the new ladies starting. There were three of us who hadn’t ‘met’ her yet so they introduced themselves followed by myself.
It was at this point I heard her say ‘oh I forgot about you’...and proceeded to laugh...also my colleague (and who I thought a dear friend) laughed too!
I feel so belittled by this, as like I say, I don’t particularly like the Manager.
I feel I should have at least said something but didn’t expect such a rude comment.
Any advice welcome?

Wouldn't worry about it - everyone probably realises shes a pain and rude. Focus on yourself and just avoid her.

Thanks work...I usually do manage to avoid her but due to new staff I’ll be stuck with her a bit longer ...unfortunately.

Deep breaths and focusing on a life without her in it are key right now haha. It'll happen one day and it will be glorious! I know how u feel... trust me.

Just to present an alternative way of looking at the scenario - I think that would happen quite innocently on one of our team calls and there is no bad feeling at all - I doubt your friend was laughing at you, she was probably just laughing nervously in an attempt to lighten the mood, I think you might have lost a bit of perspective, I don’t think the comment was rude.

She sounds like my old Manager. She never liked me either, although I never knew why.
Ignore...ignore...but I can understand how this must have made you feel.
As for the ‘friend’...hmm, well ‘work’ friends are just that.
Try not to let it affect your self esteem too much.
