Better to resign than fail probation?

My OH has been told he does not have enough evidence of work to pass his probation. His relationship with his manager is poor and I believe beyond salvage. I don’t know if it is better to resign ahead of the review meeting or fail probation. I’m worried about how a fail will look in future applications. Does anyone have any advice?

Leave now. Agree with you. The writing is on the wall. Better to control the narrative by throwing in the towel himself. I'm sorry it hasn't worked out.

I’d say leave , make it your choice
Get him looking for his next role now
