Maternity leave & manager

So basically I am due my baby in June. I work in a school and do 24 hours a week. There is another girl who does 16 hours but wants to do my hours when I'm on mat leave.
They would have to advertise for my job as temp and then the other girl would be giving up her position if she got it and advertise her job which she can't go back to as it would most likely be filled.
So anyway, my manager has been trying to get this other girl more hours and wants her to do my mat leave and is trying her best to get me not to come back. She keeps trying to convince me nursery fees are too high and that I should go on sick leave for a year after the maternity runs out or take the 3 months unpaid etc. It's really stressing me out and I don't really want to be thinking about this when I've not even had DD yet.
I obviously want to return once the 39 weeks are up but my manager clearly doesn't want me back.
Every shift I'm on with her all she talks about is how it'll be too hard to come back and get a nursery place and saying I would be better off claiming universal credit. I have 2 DS already and have had no issues returning to work after mat leave.
Does anyone know if I can report her behaviour to HR? It feels like harassment but I don't know if it would stand?

I definitely would start making notes of times/what she says. Also I would be inclined to call ACAs for advise. They are brilliant and will tell you what to do/next steps. She is clearly in the wrong. X

That sounds massively out of order to me, and I’m not usually one to get ruffled by managers’ comments. This feels inappropriate and I think you’d be sensible to seek advice as recommended by a previous poster.

Hi, forgot to reply this. Was going to leave it but have just found this morning my manager has put in a form requesting the additional hours starting 2 weeks before my actual mat leave date and when we are on school holidays. So will be contacting ACAS and have already emailed my union x thanks for your advice ladies x
