How do I get references if I have been self employed the past 10+ years? I may sell my business and be on the work hunt so looking for options for my cv/resume.
I have done in another field but would like admin type work going forward.

Seems to me you need an understanding friend who runs their own business. If youve been self employed than you must know some.

I run my own company and have a close friend who had also done a few short projects for me over the years. When he applied for a job with a company I wrote him a glowing reference which made a great deal more of the work than had actually taken place. He got the job.
