I'm off for a bit.

Some people have made me quite angry today making uninformed and extremely naive comments clearly from the luxurious position of blissful ignorance. This has annoyed me far more than it normally would, and I have been resisting responding all day. But I am still p%£@*d off and because I promised myself I would never lose my temper on here and because I am probably overreacting anyway, I feel I need to step away for a while.

Anyone who I am helping long-term with an issue, don't want to leave you in the lurch, email me on flowery dot beanbag at ntlworld dot com if you need some help. Anyone else who needs advice, there are plenty of other knowledgeable HR/legal people on here as well who I'm sure will be happy to help.

Flowery - take good care of yourself and your family. Check in on us babies/graduates when you feel up to it.

flowery I don't know what has happened but you will be missed by many, just have a MN rest as I did a few weeks ago.

You give wonderful, concise and factual advice and, to me, have always been representative of a good HR manager. There are plenty of decent HR people out there but unfortunately a lot of employees only seem to see the bad side.

Please don't take whatever was said to heart; they presumably weren't actually talking about you. If they were then they were talking out of their 'lower down parts ..
