What animal would you be?

I have an interview this week and apparently the company always asks "if you could be an animal, what would you be ?"

Anyone got any great ideas?

It's a commercial, office role so I suppose the animal should fit ?! Hmm

Ask what animal they want you to be?

It's a stupid question - are you sure you want to work for a company that comes up with shit like this in an interview?

MirandaWestsNewBFF · 01/03/2021 10:15

It’s just to get an idea of the sort of person you are. There’s no right or wrong answer really. Agree it’s a silly question though!

If I were you I’d think of my best three qualities and come up with an animal which you think typifies them.

I agree with redswinger - do you really want to work there? I was asked that in an interview once and immediately knew I would never accept a job there.

What redswinger said.

I had to do a psychological questionnaire for a US company and I knew that they weren't for me.

Thanks for the replies. I will see what happens and what the rest of the interview is like

I agree that it's a daft question

Id just say I want to remain a human. As we're the most intelligent, capable, and dominant animal on the planet.

Animal - "a living organism that feeds on organic matter, typically having specialized sense organs and nervous system and able to respond rapidly to stimuli."

Just don't say sloth and I'm sure it'll be fine!

A wolf as you can work on your own or as part of a pack

Loopyloututu2 · 03/03/2021 21:08

Maybe say something like a chimpanzee - sociable, quick to pick things up and full of energy? Questions like this are so stupid though, I mean - I’d totally be a sloth but you’re not going to say that at an interview are you?
