Rant about recruitment agencies!

Anyone else fed up of calls from recruitment agencies offering TEMP job (when your CV clearly indicates you are looking for permanent work)?
I'm currently in permanent work and have made it clear on my CV that I'm only interested in PERMANANT roles, but so far this week I've have 3 calls from different agencies who saw my CV online and they give me a pitch about how they have the "perfect" role for me... then say it's temporary.
AIBU to be fed up of these calls? When my phone rings at work I have to dash away from desk quickly to take the calls, they are such a waste of time for me and the recruiter.
Anyone else get these calls?
What is it that makes recruiters think a job hunter would want to leave a perm and secure role for something last a few weeks or 12 months FTC? I doesn't make any sense to me.. Especially as it's so clear on my CV and all covering letter that I'm only interested in perm roles. Rant over! x

It's the lies they tell that drive me insane.
Like before Christmas I had a recruiter insist on a zoom call "to get to know me"
Told me he calls his clients once a week to see how things are going.
Always gets feedback as to why a cv was rejected by the company and passes the feedback on. Tells me about this amazing job. I agree to apply.
Heard absolutely nothing since!
Or when the recruiters says the company are very flexible with remote working but during the interview, the company make it very clear they want someone in the office 🤦🏻‍♀️

What is it that makes recruiters think a job hunter would want to leave a perm and secure role for something last a few weeks or 12 months FTC? I doesn't make any sense to me. They are in a sales role - this kind of behaviour is not many steps aways from a double-glazing phone call.

They offer anything that may even be vaguely suited to you. They are paid by the companies to recruit, so they offer anything that is even vaguely suited to the job seekers on their books in the hope they will successfully fill the role and get more work as a result. It may seem annoying, but you don't directly pay them to find you work so they don't have to taylor it to your needs. I agree it's a waste of time though.

My H has used them a lot over the years and gets calls for work he has specifically said he won't do, and for things with tenuous links to the work he does..

I wouldn't take it personally, just ask the questions then say no if it doesn't suit. Screen your calls. Or take your name off their books.
