Feel guilty for using discounts for NHS staff

Is it ok/appropriate to use NHS staff discounts offered by retailers, restaurants, etc? Some of them involve using my work email address to sign up - is that allowed?

I was under the impression that receiving perks wasn't allowed but given how widely publicised discounts for NHS/blue light staff that makes me think that it is acceptable/allowed?

Yes it’s fine.

It’s fine, it’s what they’re there for. But you don’t have to use them if it makes you feel crap.

Of course it's fine. It's the same as taking advantage of any offer from a retailer.
