I have only been back at work two months and I absolutely hate it. Tbf I hated the job before maternity leave and my original plan before Covid was to look for a new job whilst on leave.
I didn't do this as I feel starting a new job might be risky and could end up unemployed.
However I'm so unhappy. I'm actually quite ill at the moment (not Covid related) I go in to work but cry once my shift is finished as I'm in so much pain. Can't go off sick though as we're short staffed and I've had time off when my dd tested positive for Covid.
Anyway I hate the job but want to look for ways to make it bearable. Do you think it would be worth trying to get a new job? Any tips so I don't spend my time off dreading the next shift?
What I really want is to be a SAHM (not popular on here I know) but I can't as we can't afford it. The job I want (and am qualified for) would be longer hours but better pay and weekends off. Would I be mad to go for it when my current job is stable? Would it be selfish to go for it?
