Hi everyone.
I am looking for some advice on a discussion I had with DH today and need some perspective.
I have been working in my current industry for a while now, have accumulated good experience and have built a network. I receive messages from recruiters weekly and work in a high-demand field, while training for moving further up.
We live in a great commuting town in the U.K. with good links to major cities and great local schools and community.
Both DCs are in primary school and doing quite well. DH is established in his job and is progressing well.
Here is the AIBU:
I gave up some great options to work abroad when I had DC1. My industry is on the rise in the US and DH can most definitely find jobs that match his current experience.
For the context, the option that I left was via an old employer and that is not possible anymore. DH’s job has an average pay of ~$60,000 to 65,000 currently and I will be expecting about $80,000 to 100,000 per year.
There is a chance of intra company transfer for me too but I am not entirely confident about it as I do not know how much of an option this is in the eyes of my employer.
AIBU to think we can make it work in the US if I start job hunting via recruiters? If you achieved this via recruiters, what was your experience? All suggestions and tips are very much welcome!
