Back to work part time NHS. How to take the accrued annual leave?

Hi all,

Hope you can help me.

I'm going back to work from nhs soon. My mat leave started end of April. I'm going back 3 days a week, and was previously full time. This nat leave has not given me any time to recover with two other children at home during lockdown and homeschooling etc. I want to stretch it out if I can.

I will have accrued 29 days annual leave. They say they think I have to take this as though I'm full time, so one extra month at end of my 12 months mat leave. I'd prefer to take it as though I'm part time so it's closer to two months at the end of my mat leave.

Has anyone done this?
