maternity pay and 'extras'

I wonder if someone knows the answer to this one! I currently get paid by my employer, and also get a 'housing allowance' each month (as they were going to offer housing with the job but pay me this instead). I have a feeling that if I went on maternity leave I would be entitled to maternity pay plus the allowance would have to continue too, just as a company car would etc, but I can't find that written down anywhere on teh govt guidelines etc! Anyone know/have a link? Makes a big diff to the finances (about £500 a month)

Not sure where it wrote down but can say you should still defo receive money like you would still receive accomodation if you had that instead only reason they could stop it I suppose is if you had specifically signed to that effect in your terms and conditions, but i'm sure they would not be allowed to do that.

Hermione you still get any contractual benefits during your ordinary maternity leave although you are not entitled to them during additional maternity leave. See this link for info about terms and conditions during maternity leave and some other useful stuff as well.

Thanks! Thought so but thought I'd better check...
