After months of applications I finally have a conditional job offer from NHS (admin) however I have just been told my referees won't supply a reference because the firm has been sold off and all ex employees are now the new firms to give references on. They do not know me, I called them and it seems they are not officially trading and the call just to goes to a domestic number the woman who answered didn't seem too hopeful they could help. I worked there 16 years and have not worked for the last 3 years as I have been SAHM but now the youngest is in FT school I NEED to get back to work for my sanity. My previous manager won't talk to me becuase she took my resignation personal and has blanked me ever since. I'm having sleepless nights about this now, if this offer is withdrawn how will I ever get a job going forward? There must be others in this situation, I've googled but its not looking great. I had no idea they had sold up and this would be an issue, from excitement of a new job I've hit rock bottom as I feel its all slipping away. NHS recruitment must have this problem before so does anyone know what they do please? Thank you all.
