Hello mum's I'm desperately seeking as many options getting as much advice as I can.
I have had extended time off with my toddler due to recovering from a car accident. I was meant to return to my admin job march 2020. I have now been let go and been offered a job working for nhs part time. My girl is now 20 months old and with pandemic has very limited experience of other kids, playgroups etc that she will remember.
The new job seems a good opportunity but it's working within a ward (admin) potentially near to a covid ward. I'm worried as I have a connective tissue disorder with weakened immunity and asthma. But as I'm not asked to shield have been in parks super markets etc so risk everywhere really.
I tried my daughter settling at nursery last week went terrible and as i used to be a nursry nurse i understand some kids just dont take so took her out and looking at childminder options.
My dilemma is do I take the job and do childminder or wait until she Is older maybe when the 2 year entitlement comes in in september 2021 and she is older. My worry of waiting is I don't know what the jobs market will be like then and whether I'll get another opportunity. But positive are she will be older and we might have had chance to mix at playgroups etc.
Financially we can manage either way but having the extra money would be nice for me to treat her etc.
