Do yours and your friends kids fight and bicker!

DS1 now 4 gets on with my friends children for about 30 mins. I have a wide circle of different mates who all have children the same age. I only ever meet with one of them at a time, at each others houses or go to the park or ball park. Why do they always end up arguing and fighting we spend most of the time asking them to play nice, calm down and stop fighting. Anyone with any ideas on how to get them to play happily for more than 30 mins without a "Your not my best friend anymore" or "your not coming to my house anymore pooh face!"
I think we dread getting together now because we all know how it will end up!

I get this sometimes with my best mates son and mine. I think it could be an age thing? Have you tried bribery Or having a talk with them together at the beginning of the meet up?

How do you think DS1 would react if you said you were going home when he argued and starting getting ready as if to?

I'm in the wrong section Typing so fast thought I was in behaviour section will transfer to there. But to your replys (thanks for replying even though I am in totally wrong bit . We have even left a few times or my friend/s have because sometimes they just don't listen. I do have a chat with mine and visa versa but maybe it is worth the chat with both of them together.
