Can I travel from Ireland to Scotland for a job interview?

I live in Scotland and since December last year I have been staying with my sister in Ireland. As they are the only support bubble I have.
I was waiting for the travel restrictions to lift before returning home. But now I have an interview for the NHS in Scotland.
I have already contacted them but they are only doing interviews face to face. I thought a bit strange, given the current climate.
But my question is this. Can I return home right now as I have a job interview? Is that a valid reason?
Given also that my current contract is due to end in March.

I was under the impression you can for business. Is there not the opportunity to interview via zoom etc.

I would contact the trusts HR department. I very much doubt that they are following their HR department advise not offering an online option.

You'd be in trouble if you wanted to go back. Ireland wouldn't see that as a reasonable journey.
