O I feel a bit sick about this.

I'm thinking about working for 21/2 months full time so we can have an easier time next year. Me back sahm / very flexible hours.

I went for an interview last night and they offered it to me today.

The nursery is great and can take ds for 5 days just.

I feel a bit sick at thought of putting him there all that time.

It's only for 21/2 months.

Travel to work and back is a nightmare and dh will have to do pick up and dropoff.

I'm meant to let them know by 5.30.

Do it!!!!
It's only 2 1/2 months. Even if its awful it will sort your finances out. Ds is already happy at nursery so will be fine. you might find you like it, you might not, but it still sounds a very very sensible thing to do for this short period.

Hi Marshabrady - I would be tempted to say it is only short term and it sounds like your childcare arrangments would be sorted. You have to think about the end result and whether it is worth this short time away from your DS. It is only 10 weeks or 50 working days if it helps to think about it that way.

I fully sympahise though with your decision and understand how hard it is to leave them even for a short period.

Thanks hermione and bojangles.

Yes I should think of the end result.

It's probably the last and only time I can do it as dh will have to ask his work a favour to leave early for the time. They probably wouldn't do it again.

I want to do it, as I'm going a bit stir crazy and haven't worked for 4 years, and if we have another baby (which I would love to), another 4 year blank will probably end my chances of going back at all.

Bojangles I saw your thread and didn't want to hijack so started this one.

But it is so hard isn't it!

Ok I'm thinking yes.

Ds is nearly 3 so probably the only time I can do it before he starts school anyway.
