Hi guys! Looking for some advice.
In the final few steps of becoming a police officer and I have a few concerns!
Ultimately maternity leave and becoming an officer knowing that in the next few years I would want to start a family.
Problem is my other half is also in the police. He assures me im crazy.. but he is a male and doesn't understand!
My fear is that post training any notion of starting a family would be out of the question. I dont plan on it for a while.. but as a female that option being taken away scares me.
Anyone any idea on the maternity schemes?
Also I fear both of us being in the same sector would make having a family difficult. Ie. Not being able to pick kids up from school, finding reliable childcare etc. Is it possible for us both to be full time officers AND be good parents?
