How to find a job

Hi everyone.

I'm based in Russia. Currently in maternity leave. I have 1 y.o. son.
I'd like to find a remote job which will take me 2 hours a day to work.

A year ago I started to learn English and now I have an intermediate level.
I worked as a secretary and HR-specialist.

Could you please help me giving some advices where I could search for a remote job in the USA or the UK?

What position I could reply for? And how much they could pay for the particular job?

Thanks a lot for your help for advance and a lot of kisses😘

I've never seen a remote secretarial job on any secretarial website in the UK to be honest . The best website for secretarial jobs is: secsinthecity.co.uk. They are all office based. I've met a few secretaries who set up as freelance & remote , but they got so little work they went back to office based jobs.

Some managers used to have a secretary, but the secretary was made redundant.

The managers now produce videos or webexes that can be accessed remotely by their staff who may be located in different places instead.

Therefore new technology has replaced the secretary

What about other English speaking countries like Australia, New Zealand, Europe ?

How about teaching Russian instead ?

Hi OP, check out PokerStars careers website, they are looking for remote Russian speaking customer service assistants, perhaps that would be good?

Alternatively, if you have access to a car you can do Amazon Flex.... its basically where you deliver parcels for Amazon, pay rates are good and shorter shifts start at only three hours.

Best of luck :)

My fault I'm not said properly🥺

Saying about my job experience I wanted to say that I could deal with a paper job🙏

Could you please tell me where I could work?

Dh has a remote executive assistant, she is based in London and has excellent local knowledge. It's closer to say she manages dh's diary and negotiates with other external EAs over meeting slots. I will even go through her to get some time into dh's diary - she knows which meeting he can move or drop out of once or twice. That is not a job he has time to do and it needs to be done whether they are wfh or not. So I'd say the age of the secretary is not dead - it has changed quite a bit though.

Translators are in demand in the UK if your English is good enough- judging from your writing here it is very good.

Especially if you have specific knowledge of for example medicine or law, so can help those in hospitals or needing legal translation.

Try language line and other translation services. Nearly always done over the phone.
