Interview for internal job when pregnant

I work in the civil service but don’t really like my job, going off on maternity leave soon. I have an interview for a more interesting job via video conferencing so they won’t be able to see that I’m pregnant. Do I tell them I’m pregnant or wait until I get the job offer?

This job also requires DV clearance which can take up to 6 months. So it’s not like they would be waiting for me to start for months.

I cannot imagine a man would announce that his wife / partner is pregnant during an interview, so I don’t see why you should have to. Anti discrimination laws are there to ensure you are in no less favourable a position than anyone else, particularly men.

Of course some employers will be annoyed, I cannot honestly say I wouldn’t be mildly irritated myself, but I know the law, I understand why it is needed and so it is too bad on me.
