Furlough question

I am contracted to work 2 days a week and I’m now furloughed.
Is there any reason why I can’t work the other 3 days for another company ?
My employer doesn’t seem to know the answer, but they said that it might affect my furlough payments.
The second company is doing work for Covid, I’m not being greedy !

You are allowed to work for another company or business whilst furloughed. You just aren't allowed to work for the same company you're furloughed from (according to my accountant)

I am furloughed but my contact specifically says no working for anyone else.

I am furloughed and can work elsewhere, though not for the same company.
My furlough letter states that though you can do this, you have to be available to return to your main work place at short notice if required, which could make it difficult working elsewhere.
