Am I supposed to be working? Child Shielding

Sorry for long post.
I'm a part time HCA
2 DC
My 4yo is shielding again.
Last lockdown he was at preschool - dad helped out massively, staying at home 3 days a week while I worked my 3days.
This time around we really can't afford my DH to only work part time. Plus, both DC are supposed to be home learning & my DH is struggling with this . His employer is also making it awkward for him.
Anyway, I spoke to my DC consultant and he asked why I hadn't been furloughed due to childcare/vulnerability issues.
Lots of people at work have been put on medical suspension due to their health and work know about my dc health issues but haven't mentioned anything . I just feel like going to work is bringing home risks!

*please note , we do not have a care bubble , nobody we know actually takes the restrictions seriously enough for us to feel comfortable to leave the children with them.

Not sure what to do x

There is no right to be furloughed, but you can speak to your manager and see what the the options are - maybe parental leave?
