Anyone with HR/ redundancy knowledge?

So I have my redundancy meeting on Thursday,
I'm shielding and also pregnant, so mine is the only one being done by phone.
They have given us a sheet to fill in and score ourselves, it says it has to be done from within the last 12 months, however I have been shielding for 8 months of that and then am currently pregnant (5 months) I have only been at work for like 3 months and was pregnant in them, and my performance wasn't as good as normal due to morning sickness.
I feel like I am going to be at a disadvantage compared to others, any tips?

Base your performance score around the last full 12 months at work pre pregnancy and fight your corner.

It would be unfair due to pregnancy/morning sickness otherwise

Ask for this to be moved to Employment issues, there are a couple of well qualified and experienced HR experts on there

Look at the 2010 Equalities Act which gives some protection to pregnant women. Ask them how many people are at risk of redundancy in your company. If more than 20 the consultation process should have stopped them taking into account time spent on official shielding

Does the scoring sheet mention anything about length of service?

@TimeToCloseTheDoor no nothing about length of service. Am currently filling in my form now as it has to be done by tonight so they can mark it, but I'm finding really hard to find examples from the last 12 months when I haven't been there very much!

I wouldn’t worry too much about the time frame, it doesn’t make sense in your scenario.

So my plan is, to finish writing up the selection sheet I need to, using examples from the last 18 months as I haven't been there, I will then email back it tonight, and put on the email about it not being from the last 12 months due to shielding and pregnant.

I would add on the bottom of the selection sheet that as you are currently pregnant you are in the maternity protected period and are therefore entitled to the protections this offers.

For your information:
If you are selected for redundancy you are legally entitled to be offered any suitable alternative before other employees.
You can be made redundant but your employer needs to be very careful. If a team of 10 are all made redundant then it is likely this will be fair even if you are in the protected period. If they only make 5 redundant the need very robust evidence/selection criteria for you to be one of them.

Thanks @Margaritatime so they are cutting hours, first so if everyone takes a hour cut then no redundancies otherwise, it's redundancies, they are cutting a lot of hours but my job will still be available with just less people/hours, I have a screenshot a section on the acas about pregnancy and redundancy to put on the email.

Good idea to include the ACAS guidance.

@Margaritatime I'm not at 25 weeks yet which is a pain, I'm only 18 weeks!

If I remember correctly they use the 8 week period prior to the 15th week before EWC. So you may just be starting this period now. When do they reduce your hours?

@Margaritatime they haven't yet, it just depends on whether enough people take a hours reduction or whether redundancies are required basically. I'm shielding (it is pregnancy related- heart condition with pregnancy) currently so won't be in work till at at least mid February at least.

I think this means you should get 9/10ths of your current salary for the first 6 weeks. Then SMP.
