Anyone recently changed jobs and now worried they won't be entitled to furlough if they close...

Arrraaaggghhh I've recently changed jobs and my decision was based on the fact everything was hopeful regarding the new vaccine and now its all gone tits up 😭. I'm going to be working in a nursery so at the moment we are staying open but obviously I will not have been on the pay roll long enough to get furlough if we close. It really does seem shit and unfair 😩

I started a new job on 11th November. I work freelance too 1 day a week. I did wonder about this. I feel people will have to change jobs and take new ones given the job market right now. So I wonder if we have further restrictions or lockdown if the dates for having started a job will change.

I hope so. I was offered a hob in October but turned it down due to everything going on and the risk of furlough. But with the news of a vaccine I thought we had turned a corner and now I feel like it's worse then ever 😭

Are you in a pre school aged room? If so, you may be lucky. It's a complicated funding situation, but might mean they can't furlough you so have to keep you on working with vulnerable and key workers children
