Do I need a fit note? (COVID)

Hi,

I started with COVID symptoms on 16th December, tested on 18th and got a positive result on 20th.

I rang in sick to work on Monday 21st (although I work Tuesday-Friday). I had 24th, 29th, 30th & 31st booked as annual leave.

I downloaded the isolation notice and sent this to work on 21st, it went until the 31st.

If I'm not well enough to return to work on Tuesday, do I need to ring the GP for a fit note?

Thanks

Yes, a fit note only covers the first 7 calendar days. Bank Holidays and annual leave do not extend the he 7 day period.
