Payslip help please?

Can anyone work out what the hell is going on with this payslip. Should point out that dh was NOT informed he's on furlough, payslip was the first awareness of that, hes currently at work the now and surprisingly the boss aint in or answering to ask Hmm

Payroll runs 24th to the 23rd. Paid £9.63 an hour, hours cut to 3 days a week, so 24 hours.

Has actually worked 72 hours basic and 10.5 hours extra up until the furlough date of 18th. So that should be £794.47.

The week of the 14th he took his 3 days off as holiday, seems like they've put this through as furlough, though it's the week before the furlough date.

Then xmas week he did 16 hours. Presumably at furlough pay rate?

Got an excel spreadsheets on the go but I'll be buggered if I can figure it out.

Thanks for any help

Need to get in touch with HR
Lelgally he should have been told he was going to be furloughed or put on reduced contract
Get him to check through all work emails and letters
Furlough means he shouldn’t have worked for the company at all.. that’s the point of furlough
If he’s working at reduced hours he isn’t being furloughed

Unfortunately hr are not working today. He emailed payroll who said, see attached photo. Which still doesn't make sense, he worked 98.5 hours in that time period and took 24 hours as holiday.

He was reduced to 3 days in august when the business reopened and has had a 3 day contract since then. The company made every one take a weeks holiday in June/July then said they had paid too much and we had to pay back 300 quid. It made absolutely no sense.

There was NO chat/email about furlough.

The company do have people working one day and furloughed for 2, they've been told that though also have fully furloughed folks working too

You are allowed to work part time or flexibly on the current furlough scene. My employer has to pay 100% of wage for worked hours and holiday taken and it's then 80 % of remaining contracted hours paid by furlough. Cant help further though.

Yeah but he's not working flexible furlough, they've had him in his usual hours and no ones told him he's furloughed, it's been almost 2 weeks, not a word. Explains why his boss has been so sheepish though

Looks like they are fraudulently claiming furlough funding without actually furloughing staff. He hasn’t lost out through it but he could notify HMRC if he wants to.

Stupid of them to set it all out on his payslip like that. There’s no legal requirement to do so and all they’ve done is tell all employees that they’re defrauding through taxman, giving any aggrieved employee a stick to beat them with.

Exactly my thoughts @flowery I did say to him to give it til Tuesday for an explanation from his boss or hr or I'll report them myself. He's up nearly £400 with no explanation.

Fully furloughed folk still working. Eastern European live in staff on 0 hours been given nothing since first lockdown, but expected to pay digs throughout and recently working randomly for free.

if he was on the payroll at 40 hours per week in Feb then he can be flexibly furloughed now and they would still need to use the 40 hours not the 24. my only question would be why they didn't do that between the time the hours reduced and now. I get 7 furlough hours less but different companies are using different calculation methods

Sorry to bump this thread up but they've struck again this month. Worked 69 hours and took 24 hours holiday and this is his payslip. His boss is still adamant he's not on furlough....
