I received a job offer conditional on some pre-employment checks. Most checks have been approved but one requires me to speak to someone on the phone to clarify something. I rang them last week and they noted down my details but warned me that the department has been really busy.
I understand with them being busy plus it being Christmas that that is probably why they haven't got back to met yet. However, my start date is next Monday and I have still not heard anything.
Should I phone them again or wait it out a few days? This is my first job after university so I am not sure what to do.
