I’ve been a tech for 4 years and I’m due to register as a paramedic soon but also due a baby in Feb.
I’m looking at going back to work in April/May as I can’t live off stat maternity pay (private worker non NHS).
Before getting pregnant I was working 12hrs a day either 5 or 6 days a week which will obviously be more difficult and tiring with a newborn.
What other roles are available than full time frontline? I’m only hoping to do 3-4 days a week initially and can work weekends/unsocial too if the pay is better.
Just wondering whether NQP’s will be taken on in some of the alternative paramedic roles until I am 2 years post qual.. or if there’s anything I haven’t thought of other than event medic/prisons/bank frontline positions!?
