Dream job- help me

The perfect job/hours/location has come up for me.
I am very well qualified for the post, and comfortably meet the full person spec.

It will be really popular.

I have applied for, and successfully been offered jobs before, and I believe I interview well. I've never wanted a job as much as this though.

What is the formula for successfully landing a role. What kind of prep should I do? Should I practice interview questions?

It's a nursing post in a specialist field.

Thank you

When I’m looking at applications it’s always via cv and covering letter (Not medical). As it’s nursing though I guess it via application? The best thing you can include is examples of how you meet what they’re looking for specifically. So many applications are generic and without thought of the actual position. Being yourself really shows as well. I’d take a genius candidate over a confident one any day.

I always call once I've been shortlisted to offer to go for a look around or now in Covid times have a telephone call to ask a bit more about the job, I think it givens to chance to sharpen up some of your responses and keep them relevant to the the role you are going for.

If it's a new role or a promotion for you think about your development needs in the role, specific training, leadership etc as that looks good to be able to identity what support you would need as it shows you've really thought about it, good luck x
