Got made redundant, since then I’ve had numerous interviews either online or few in person this is the 10th knock back I have had, I’ve never not worked I know loads more will be in my situation and struggling to find a job, but my so called partner doesn’t understand that and running me down calling me worthless and useless!! I physically emotionally feel sick with it

On the work situation, it isn't a good time of year for job hunting, come the new year you'll find there will be new opportunities coming up.

If you've always worked than your partner is talking rubbish calling you worthless, you need to re-evaluate your relationship and whether it has a future if they kick you when you're down.

Your partner should be supporting you during this difficult time, not calling your worthless. Maybe assess whether you need to have a so called 'partner' like that in your life.

KatherineJaneway · 06/12/2020 07:08

You might want to get this moved to 'relationships' op. Sounds like your issue is your dp not your inability to secure a job. It's a tough, tough job market out there, if he can't see that then he is truly thick.

Dump him immediately. He is no ‘partner’ if he calls you worthless and useless.

There are so many people looking for work now, it’s really tough. It’s nothing to do with you that you haven’t got anything yet.

Have you been able to get any feedback from any interviews?

How can your partner not be aware of the current bad job situation? Sounds like you’re doing your best, he should be encouraging and offering support.
Is he always unpleasant?
