Hey!

On the 13 weeks £390 average earnings criteria on Maternity Allowance, I've got 11/13 weeks I assume I can use holiday for 2 weeks to make it add up.

So you need to have earned £30 a week in 13 of the weeks? Are you employed or self employed?

It's def £390 a week not £30 I won't qualify for SMP but I've been employed for 26 weeks.

Actually i might be reading this incorrectly, are they saying if you earn £30 a week on average you will get £151 a week MA?

No its not. Its £30 per week in 13 weeks. £30 x 13 is £390. Its £390 in total, not each week.

In the 66 weeks before your baby’s due, you must also have been:

  • employed or self-employed for at least 26 weeks
  • earning (or classed as earning) £30 a week or more in at least 13 weeks - the weeks do not have to be together

Thanks!

Well you will get £151.20 a week or 90% of your average weekly earnings (whichever is less) so it depends on your earnings

earning (or classed as earning) £30 a week or more in at least 13 weeks - the weeks do not have to be together

So you have to have earnt at least £30 a week to get the £151 a week MA

I had this problem as I had changed employer and got MA but no SMP
