Shielding letter!

So I work in retail, in a store that's been deemed essential so working as normal, due to the lockdown I have been transferred to another store. Yesterday I got a shielding letter, I told my store where I am permanently as they are dealing with all pay etc, and they said to carry on as normal. Went into my store I have been transferred to, and told them and they have sent me straight home while taken a copy of my letter. My manger at my normal store is still saying I should carry on as normal. Any suggestions?

The government advice is if you have a ECV shielding letter you should stay home and shield. If you can work from home you should but if you can't you just stay home. This should be obvious. You should not put yourself at risk. You have given your employer the letter to copy.
