Have a lookhere to see if there are any alternatives in the locality. Can't imagine you'd be the only one in this position. Can you ask the school what they'd suggest ?

Is there any way that you could ask your employer to let you do your job over five days but only during school hours, instead of three full time days?

A lot of childminders dont list on that site, AIMSmum. I found this out when we moved house. They dont want their address/details on the Internet. Plus vacancies & newly qualified childminders come up all the time. I suggest U start phoning CMs who r listed on Childcarelink & ask if they know of any CMs near U, or any CMs w/ vacancies at all. Keep asking & phoning there is a v. good chance you'll find some1 after all.

there's a glasgow gumtree. I don't know if it's any help but maybe if you advertised for someone, you might get some interest.

otherwise, is there someone's nanny who could help you out? People sometimes put up ads in the post office window asking if someone would like to nanny share.

actually, if you look in the work wanted bit on that glasgow gumtree there are a fair few people who want to do childcare work (or you could advertise on the healthcare/nanny bit).
