Shift changes

My boss keeps changing my shifts. They have given me some priveleges that other team members have on proviso I changes shifts to cover staff shortages (they have not asked other staff to do this?). I am the only staff member with children under 18 and one of my children has a one to one at school due to health issues learning disabilities?

Am I being discriminated against?

By continuing to do shift changes would that become an implied term?

@Tatws unless there's more to it I don't really see how asking you to change shifts is discriminating against you in any way?

Are your set shifts in your contract or does your contract say shifts may change?
If you're not happy with changing shifts and it isn't in your contract to do so, talk to your manager and tell them that you're not happy or that you don't mind helping out but need x amount of notice and let them know what you're happy with.

There's nothing wrong with them asking you but perhaps they keep asking because you've done so before so they assume you're flexible, talk to them about it and see what they say

Apologies. I spoke with manager and asked for minimal shift changes after september so i could do school run and caring responsibilities. They said I would be asked to change shifts in equal amount to other 15 staff members. Previously I had been flexible, due to partners circs, as I was on different shifts and hours.

So I am now on new shifts and they are now asking me to cover a dozen shift changes and last week changed a shift at short notice, they are not asking anyone else. I threw my toys out of the pram earlier this week (I am super patient and think they take advantage of this) but now had enough.
