Have I been underpaid or not - Furlough/Redundancy

Hi All,

I was given notice of redundancy on 11th September with my last day of work being 30th October. I was advised in the redundancy notice and email that I was 'expected to work my notice'. Prior to this i'd been on flexi furlough since the beginning of August and had been working as and when needed.

So last friday I requested my digital payslip. I have been given my 7 years worth of redundancy pay and notice pay which is all correct, but I've also been given furlough pay for the month of October.

I'm really confused. I assumed from the 11 september that was the start of my 7 weeks notice so just expected full pay from then till the end of October plus my redundancy payout (+holidays). But instead I have my redundancy pay, notice pay and a months worth of furlough (+holidays).

So I supposed my questions are - Have they done me a favour by giving me furlough pay until the end of the scheme and giving me my notice pay as one lump sum? Or should I have actually been paid full pay for the last month (as I have been working!) and also given my 7 weeks notice pay at the end?

Sorry if thats all not very clear!

FYI - I've been there for 7.5yrs and am 33.

You were entitled to 7 weeks' notice at full pay (which they could make you work), your redundancy, and your holiday. You've had 7 weeks at 80% (from 11 September), redundancy, holiday and 7 weeks at full pay. You're up on the deal!

Hi @Jessesgirl13 yes that is correct - I've also just had 7 weeks redundancy for 7 years service, plus the October furlough pay. Wish you all the best for the future Grin
