Miss my old job

I loved my job, the team I worked with were fabulous. Then disaster!!

They all left, one by one.

The company then panicked and recruited my new manager. She was vile, so rude and I could tell instantly that she wasn't interested in anything I had to say. She had no consideration for any policy or procedure in place.

I couldn't work with her so I got a new job and left.

The new job is ok. Nothing terrible BUT I really really miss what I had in my old job pre new manager.

I keep thinking that hopefully one day she will leave then I can go back and be happy again. Rationally, I know that this will not happen.

How can I move on?

You move on by being realistic about here & now not romanticising your old job
Stop the misty eyed ohhh weren’t the old days great and focus on what you have now
By all means it’s ok to (fleetingly) think ahh that was great, and then park it as a happy memory

Acknowledge your grief and say goodbye to what you have lost.
