NHS WFH

Do any medical secretaries here work from home? If we want to WFH we have to supply our own equipment and be prepared to phone patients back using our own phones with no reimbursement. I don't actually mind since I have the equipment anyway and have unlimited minutes with my phone contract. However, I was in a team meeting today and the doctors are all being supplied with equipment and phones.

I'm wondering if this is typical of all Trusts.

We've not been allowed to WFH at all. I work for a GP practice so it may be different for hospital staff. Other admin staff have been able to WFH so I don't know why we're not.

I know we're lucky to be able to work part of the week at home ... I'm waiting for IT to sort out remote working for me. The pandemic may be over by the time that happens - everything is sooooooo slow Hmm
