Project manager courses - are they worth it?

I have recently gone back to work after a long maternity leave. I was an administration manager for about 6 years and I have gone back as an administrator. My plan is to try and get a job with the MOD and work my way up. I have sent many applications over the past 6 months and had zero luck. It has been a long time since I completed a qualification, I am feeling rather lost and de-motivated. I just wondered whether anybody would recommend this course, or not?

I wouldn't waste my money to be honest.

Maybe take a sideways step into another admin role that has potential for secondment/progression with project management if you find yourself frozen out in your current office.

Do you actually want to work in project management? Or stopping in admin? If the latter then its pointless.
