If possible get someone to do a test run with you just to check sound, lighting and video quality.
I had interviews recently did a test run and it helped just to make sure everything was set up correctly.
Good luck 🤞🏻

Congratulations on securing an interview.

I've had three online interviews recently and I found them much easier. I'm not very good at quick thinking, so the big advantage of being online is you can have a list of examples and scenarios in front of you ready for the dreaded questions. Although you can't predict the questions, with 3/4 examples of great things you have done, you can make the examples fit the question if that makes sense.

Good luck.

I second the advice to have a test run. When using the video call function on my laptop the audio cuts out every 45 seconds for 10/15 seconds. I haven't worked out how to fix it yet so just take video calls via the app on my phone now.

@Cookiebear3 @h0rsewithn0name
Great thank you
I'm doing a test run in a bit with sister in law to get set up
That's a good idea a few examples ready to go .... though they could ask anything!

DH had a teams one recently and I did a test from work, as pp said to check lighting etc, he had a board behind the camera with some possible scenarios/answers so he wasn't looking down at notes. Good luck!

I also have a Teams interview this week. I have no experience of Teams. I like the idea of putting notes behind the webcam!

Ronnie1234 · 15/10/2020 06:45

Yes that's a good idea the notes

I think the excel test is the scariest part!
