Pregnancy sickness doesn’t count towards contractual sick pay

I’m in the civil service. Signed off sick (hospitalised) with Hyperemesis Gravidarum.

As I’ve been there less than a year, my sick pay is one month full pay, one month half pay then SSP. But the maternity policy states that “pregnancy sickness does not count towards contractual sick pay limits.”

Does this mean that I will continue to receive full pay or have I misunderstood?
