Bored accountant - any ideas?

I've been an accountant in industry for nearly twenty years and I'm bored. I always thought I could move into higher education teaching but it's harder then it appeared to be for my lecturers.
Any ideas for a bored accountant as a change of direction?

Have you thought about a move into practice? I’m in industry now, but started my career with a full service accounting firm and the two jobs are worlds apart!

What is it you do now, and what do you find boring about it?

I'm not technical enough for practice accounts, I'm a management account at heart, happy to do fp and a. I'm a finance manager but not liking the company and wonder if a change in direction would help as I've still got to work for another twenty years. Also the job market looks really flat, I've been applying since February and nothing but accept it could be me.
