Hi all. I was hoping for some friendly advice. Until recently, I've lived in the South in my own flat. Although I've been happy, I've always wanted a house but with prices so high, I made the decision to move back to the North where prices are lower and to be closer to my family.

I started a new job in January and have just completed on my house purchase - however, the job isn't entirely working out for me and now I feel trapped as I've bought the house. If I hadn't then perhaps I would return to where I was.

I know I need to talk it through with my manager but has anyone else been in a similar position? Thanks

In what way is the job not working out? Can you look for another job in the same area where you’ve bought the house?

Thanks for your reply. There are one or two large aspects of the role which I find extremely challenging. Although the people are generally supportive, I'm not able to find a resolution and it's making me anxious. I think the other thing is also I miss where I used to be. As a last resort I can look for another job.
