How to explain gap in education on CV

Could any HR/employers please advise what my DS, 18, should say on a CV or job application to cover the 18 month period he has been out of education. This was due to severe anxiety and he has not completed any level 3 qualifications. Thank you

Is he going to go back into Education? If he does that then after a while work alongside it, by the time he has some qualifications and comes to apply for full time jobs it won’t matter, and if that gap is ever queried he can just say he had a period of time out of school/college due to some health issues, it’s nothing to be ashamed of, and most employers won’t care a jot what age he was when he trained.
