Ok, so I'm an NHS Band 3 admin worker and have just been offered a Band 4 role within the same Trust.
I understand the reference request will be sent to my manager this week. I've emailed her as a matter of courtesy just to let her know.
What kind of details are requested on the reference?
I've had a few performance issues this year over last few months (due to depression, stress and traumatic events happening outside of work. All now resolved, thanks to counselling).
Is she likely to disclose all this? Or is the NHS reference something less detailed?
I know that some places only give basic reference like dates of employment and confirmation of title etc.
