Paramedic / EMT training

Does anyone have any advice on paramedic/EMT training that isn't degree based?

Paramedic is degree based, you can progress to an EMT from an ECA though. Basic qualifications as an ECA required but I believe you do some kind of apprenticeship or diploma as part of your continuous professional development.
