Does anyone know if you are getting a DBS and there was a false allegation of a serious crime this lead to an investigation but no caution or sentence would this show on the check? Thanks

Incredibly unlikely.

The only scenario would be if this was pattern of allegations which were never proved directly related to the job being employed for. For example, 20 allegations of rape/sexual assault, none of which ever went to trial, and the applicant wanted a job with access to vulnerable women.

Only an enhanced DBS check looks at "other information" such as this on the police computer. Standard and Basic don't. Police filter information to decide what's relevant. Obviously nobody can give a definite yes/no answer but I'd say it was very very very unlikely to be disclosed.
